Despite being born and raised in Philly, Nick has a dirty old secret, which he hides well behind his American accent and baby blues. You wouldn’t know it from looking at him, but he’s actually English! He spent his childhood, teens and early twenties in Philly, eventually studying Chemical Engineering, before moving to Yantai, China. After a brief stint at a General Motors factory, Nick met a business partner and built a small cargo trailer factory, which he ran for the next three years. He then decided to come to the UK, where he spent the next two years studying for his MBA at London Business School. To top it all, he set his mind on one more adventure before going on to bigger and better things.

Born in Germany, but raised in a number of different countries, Maria has never lived anywhere longer than in the UK, with a current total of 12 years. She finished her MBA in 2004, and has since worked as a Project Manager specialising on marketing and communications on a variety of projects. She thrives on the challenge of change, and her friendships are the only constant in her life. She can’t wait to hit the road and take a gazillion photos, while crossing her fingers that not too many things will break, go wrong or Nick can’t fix’em.
